A Short Update On My Valentine

Hello~

I can't believe that this is my first post of the year ≧△≦!! Recently, I am back to studying even though I have already earned a honours degree four years ago. I deem higher education as a fundamental to upgrade myself. So, for that reason, I lack the motivation to blog especially when I need to write up assignments and essay almost everyday for submission. But thanks to my dear, who happens to be academically gifted, I managed to ace all my modules with his help in vetting and guiding me through. I am so thankful to have him around (^▽^)❤!

Just a week ago, we celebrated our 4th Valentine Day together ◕‿◕~!

I don't know how but he always managed to make the day full of sweetness without exploiting surprises.  He brought me to my favorite restaurants and we shopped for our Valentine Day gifts together . It was a simple date but a very happy one (*≧▽≦)ノ!! He's a genius in bringing me joy with his simplest gestures and thoughts.

After I told him I wanted shoes, he spent the entire afternoon on getting me all these lovely shoes \(//∇//)\ ! To me, these are as wonderful as a tons of roses (๑¯◡¯๑)! I know about the superstition that revolves around giving shoes as gifts but, like I told all my friends, our relationship is not based on such irrational belief. I believe if a relationship can be defeated by a few pairs of shoes, the relationship is a piece of crap. Let's be practical. Will you blame the shoes if your partner chose to leave? Seriously, I think the last thing anyone would do is to look down at their shoes and accused: "It's all your fault that we broke up!"
I buy new shoes for my dear every year because I want him to walk comfortably by my side for the rest of my life. That's a lot of walking assuming we are going to live until 80, so giving shoes actually work more like a blessing than a curse ヾ(☆▽☆)
That's how Cinderella transform from a maid to a princess if you want to look from a supernatural point of view.

However, having a prince as my Valentine is no supernatural. My dad, who treats me like a princess up until today, once taught me what is the best life partner. I was inspired by his words which he told me in Cantonese: 选老公最重要不是他有没有钱 , 好不好看, 而是他疼不疼你. 最好找到一个老豆这样疼你.
(The most important aspect when choosing a husband is not whether he's rich or handsome, but to find  someone who dote on you as much as your daddy does. That's the best man for you.)
FYI, I consider my dad to be the best father in the world (-^〇^-)!! He deserves that award! So, according to the greatest father, the best life partner is someone who would treasure me like how he does...

... And I think I have already found my inspiration, Dad...
He doesn't only fit into your philosophy, but he got the looks, the brain and the heart.
The best man for me.
